TytoCare Updates Home Smart Clinic Platform with New Features

What You Should Know:

–              TytoCare, a virtual care company enabling accessible, high-quality primary care from home, has released a major software update for its Home Smart Clinic.

–              The update includes a number of new features that are designed to make high-quality healthcare more accessible at scale for payers, providers, and patients.

TytoCare Home Smart Clinic Update: Enhancing Virtual Healthcare Accessibility and Efficiency

The recent update to TytoCare’s Home Smart Clinic introduces a range of new features designed to enhance the accessibility and quality of healthcare for payers, providers, and patients. One of the key enhancements is a fully integrated experience that supports multiple provider types. This allows individuals to use their device with various care modalities and provider networks, enabling access to virtual primary, specialty, and urgent care. For instance, members can now utilize different provider networks depending on the time of day, ensuring comprehensive, around-the-clock care.

Another significant feature is TytoShare, which allows patients to share their examination data with any clinician, regardless of whether they are part of a TytoCare partner network. This functionality facilitates the integration of TytoCare with diverse healthcare systems and enhances the continuity of care by enabling specialists and other providers to review examination results.

The update also introduces pre-visit exams, enhancing convenience for patients and efficiency for providers. Families can now capture and send exam data, such as lung and heart recordings or throat and ear visualizations, to their provider before a scheduled visit. This feature significantly improves the utilization of face-to-face time during appointments and has been shown to reduce visit durations by 35 percent among test users.

Additionally, the TytoCare Virtual Guide, named Emma, offers enhanced engagement and onboarding capabilities. Emma, a multimedia avatar, provides a dynamic onboarding experience that helps patients understand how and when to use their Home Smart Clinic effectively, building trust and ensuring accurate self-examinations.

TytoCare’s Home Smart Clinic stands out as the only virtual care solution capable of replicating a doctor’s office at home. It combines TytoCare’s FDA-cleared handheld remote examination device, which performs heart, lung, throat, ear, and body temperature exams, with Tyto Insights™ clinical decision support software and Tyto Engagement Labs™. This integration provides high-quality, accessible virtual care, enabling health plans and providers to achieve expected returns on investment and drive improved health outcomes.

The Home Smart Clinic has demonstrated superior performance, delivering 59 percent more accurate diagnoses than traditional audio/visual telehealth solutions and resolving 98 percent of visits without requiring an in-person follow-up. It has also been shown to reduce the total cost of care for health plans by an average of five percent and decrease emergency department visits by 11.3 percent.

The seventh version of TytoCare’s software is scheduled for release to partners and will be deployed to the millions of TytoCare devices currently in use globally in the coming months. Additional updates, including a provider onboarding program, are anticipated later this year, further enhancing the functionality and impact of the Home Smart Clinic.

“In order for telehealth to work, it has to be able to be used by a range of payers and providers, seamlessly integrate with their existing systems and workflows, and be convenient and engaging for patients,” said Dedi Gilad, CEO and Co-Founder of TytoCare. “This release levels up the Home Smart Clinic by making it compatible across care networks; enabling provider efficiency and collaboration; and engaging patients for greater ease-of-use.”
